I was recently interviewing an amazing woman for the Lose Weight Now Audio program, and we began talking about how important it is to care about how you feel, and how your body feels.
How many times have we all heard that tiny voice in our head that urges us to eat by saying "I don't care . . ." It's important to care . . . and it's one of the critical shifts we help people make. If you don't care about how you feel, then what difference does it make?
You deserve to feel good. If you don't care, then there's something very sad and discouraging about that. If you don't care about how you feel, how can you feel good about yourself and your body?
Steps to change:
1. NOTICE how you feel from day to day . . . and hour to hour. Pay ATTENTION. It's amazing how many people don't even have any awareness of their bodies.
2. Stay CURIOUS if you are feeling down or lethargic. When are you most likely to hear those words ("I don't care") in your head?
3. Keep your mood and energy levels up. It's simply harder to resist temptation when you are exhausted. Make a plan to feel good and to manage your energy level throughout the day. A little planning goes a LONG way! Your will reap the benefits.
