A few weeks ago, I noticed a bit of belly fat that I didn’t used to have. (I’m more of a pear shape.) Needless to say, I didn’t like it one bit!
My jeans were tighter than usual, and I just felt a little pudgy (you know the feeling). I had done some reading about the dangers of abdominal fat, so I decided to do something about it.
I started to focus my workouts on core strength and abdominal work. And I discovered that even though I was attending classes in strength training, I was wasting a lot of my efforts . . . so it wasn’t doing me much good.
I was also feeling like a hamster on the treadmill – getting nowhere fast.
So I decided to step it up!

It’s a really a great online fitness course with tons of information on abdominal workouts and the 5 components of physical fitness. I found out that even though I was working out, I wasn’t working out as effectively as I could.
And considering how dangerous belly fat is, I didn’t want to get into bad habits. Now I am making the most of my workouts without spending more time. This program includes very specific exercises to use special equipment too, like stability balls.
Needless to say, I don’t like wasting my time. And I am already seeing the results. My jeans fit well again. I can’t recommend strength training strongly enough. If you aren’t doing it now, get started. It’s a great way to get the fat burners fired up!
